Introduction: Jesus is one of the fundamental discussions between the world largest religious community “Christianity” and ‘ISLAM’. Both groups have a common faith upon his miraculous birth to the virgin Mary. Christians accept him as a son of God or Jesus himself was a God (Matthew 4:3) on the other hand, Islam consider him as one of the great prophets (Luke 24:19-20) bore to the virgin marry. However Judaism do not accept him neither Holy Spirit of God nor a Prophet, and they consider him as one of the false prophet arose in Jerusalem as like many false prophet and planned to crucified him (Matthew 23:37). The central doctrine of Christianity is directly linked with the crucifixion of Jesus. A central statement in traditional Christian creeds is that Jesus was crucified “under Pontius Pilate.” But the majority of Christians have only the vaguest sense what the phrase represents, and most non-Christians probably can’t imagine why it’s such an integral part of Christian faith. It is very important to note that the full-Christianity is base on the historical event of “The Crucifixion of JESUS’.

Saint Luke 23. 26-43
Saint John. 17-27

Background of This Argument:

Though the largest religious community (2.26 Billion in Mid 2009) Christianity stands upon a faith that Jesus was crucified for the payment of our sin on the other hand perhaps worlds second largest group of religion (About 1.52 Billion in Mid 2009) Islam stands upon a faith concerning Jesus that is he was not crucified. However both group claims certain inspiration from God to the mankind reveled to their religious leader. One of the fundamental differences between Christianity and Islam is Jesus Death of Cross. It should be noted that Islam does not ignore the inspiration from God to Jesus but Christianity do not feel necessary to accept another inspiration from god in the hand of Muhammad who is a descend of Abraham’s elder son Ismael. It also should be noted that Islamic prophet Muhammad has become the most influential person in total human civilization as being religious and political leader. His divine inspiration “Al-Quran” has become one of the holy message from God to the mankind known to his followers. Functionally, Al Quran that claims it has no error and it contains undeniable evidence of God, and even sometimes it claims to it self as a one living miracle of God. There are thousand of documentaries, web site, recommendation and research on this text. Muhammad did not claim himself as an author of Al-Quran and he putted this recommendation concerning that he received this from God via Angels Gabriel. It is very well-known to his followers and all historians that Muhammad did not take any academic learns even he did not knew how to read and write. But the holy inspiration from God and his supremacy over Muhammad gave him an ultimate honor to the world.  From this Al-Quran we found some different type of discussion that directly contrary with the historical account of Gospel and Old Testament. One of those was concerning Jesus crucifixion that is telling, Jesus was not crucified when the Jewish Priest and Roman rollers crucified Jesus, they crucified another man who’s appearance changed with Jesus and Jesus was lifted to heaven and will return in this world again. It has pointed out the history that is, Jesus was taken to the heaven and a man had become look like Jesus and they crucified that Jesus. The Actual Jesus will be arisen in the last period of the world to give Justice to the mankind. He will be arisen once again from heaven. The investigations on the historical account of Gospel I have found some point that derives are very relevant to the arguments of Al Quran. I personally would not feel it is necessary to uphold this discussion in here, But in Al-Quran that derives in various verses as a clear warning to the mankind to accept the God alone and his messenger Muhammad as leader to follow. And that has some divine promise to be reworded or Punishment of hellfire (All about hell Part I & Part II) for eternity. The Qur’an describes the miracle of Jesus’s virgin birth, Events what happened at the time of crucifixion. A chapter of the Qur’an which is even entitled “Maryam” (Mary). Here is the Qur’anic description

Al-Quran Verses

Subject to Jesus

Virgin Birth(Q: 3:45-47) Oh Mary, Allah (Swt) gives you glad tidings of a word from him (Allah (Swt)) of the Messiah Jesus son of Mary, revered in this world and the hereafter, and one of those brought near to Allah (Swt). He will speak from the cradle as an infant and as a man will be of the righteous.” She said “My Lord, how can I have a child when no mortal man has touched me?” He said, “So it will be. Allah (Swt) creates what He wills, if He decrees a thing, He says to it only, ‘Be!’ and it is.
Creation(Q 3:59) Allah (Swt)) created Adam from dust, then said to him, ‘BE!’ and he came into being….
Virgin Birth(Q: 66:12) And Mary the daughter of Ìmrán, who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into (her body) of Our spirit; and she testified to the truth of the words of her Lord and of His Revelations, and was one of the devout (servants).
Crucifixion

Q 4:157-158

And because of their saying (in boast), ‘We killed Messiah ‘Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allâh,’ – but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of ‘Isa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) But Allâh raised him [‘Isa (Jesus)] up (with his body and soul) unto Himself (and he is in the heavens). And Allâh is Ever AllPowerful, AllWise. )

First Evidence: After performing the last supper, in the mid night Jesus foretold to his twelve disciples that in this daybreak all of his disciples shall be offended because of Jesus. Jesus did not said, I will be offended for you or for all the sinners. Moreover, Jesus told to his disciples that “you shall deny me thrice even if I stand before you”. On that night of the last supper Jesus said that you will be offended because of me and if the Romans Soldier inquire you about me, you are asked to deny me even if I stand before you. Jesus foretold Peter that, “You shall deny me thrice before the crock crow.” This is a very clear evidence that the man who was crucified was not Jesus, because Jesus said, “ you all be offended because of me” Jesus did not told that I will be offended for all the sinners. And in the entire New Testament there is not a single verse that “Jesus will be Crucified” or “Jesus is crucified” or “Son of God will be/is Crucified”. But “Son of Man”, every time when those of New Testament referred the crucifixion to “The Son of Man”, no one mentioned a single time that “Son of God” or “Jesus” will be crucified. When we accept that Jesus born to Virgin Marry, it is unacceptable the phrase that he is “The son of Man”. So we can conclude, the son of man was crucified but not Jesus.

Matthew Chapter 26:33-35
31 Then said Jesus unto them, All you shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the    shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
34
Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto you(Peter) , That this night, before the cock crow, you shall deny me thrice.

35 Peter said unto him, Though I should die with you, yet will I not deny you. Likewise also said all the disciples.

34 And Jesus said, I tell you, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that you shall thrice deny that you knowest me.

After performing the last supper on that night in the last hour when the roman soldiers came with “Judas” who was one of Jesus’s disciples & betrayed Jesus. The history is telling us that when Peter was inquired about Jesus he denied Jesus three times, and suddenly after his denial the Crock Crow is because Peter was very sure that man who was carried out to the court before him was not Jesus. Functionally it is need to point out that (A). Was is foretold that Peter will deny Jesus or Peter will betray Jesus or The man who will be denied is not Jesus?

And Luke 22:34 telling,

34 And He(Jesus) said, “I say to you, Peter, the cock will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me.”

(B). Why peter will deny Jesus? Did Peter betrayed Jesus by denying him? (C). Or Peter fulfilled the commandment or the prophecy of Jesus? (D). If peter would betray, Jesus would not love him more than other disciples. (After the speech unto peter about to deny Jesus, Jesus took only three disciples with him among all when he went Gethseman and Peter was one of them. For sure Jesus trusted Peter more than any other disciples)

Matthew 26:36, 37, 38

36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and said unto the disciples, Sit you here, while I go and pray yonder.
37 And he(Jesus) took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

38 Then said he(Jesus) unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry you here, and watch with me.

And we know from various verses peter loved Jesus more than his own life, even peter could die for Jesus. Matthew 26:35 Peter is telling,

35 Peter said unto him, Though I should die with you, yet will I not deny you. Likewise also said all the disciples. Some more example of his love to Jesus, John 13:6, 7, 8, 9, 10

John 13

6 Then cometh he(Jesus) to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, do you wash my feet?
7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do you knowest not now; but you shall know hereafter.
8 Peter said unto him, You shall never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash you not, you hast no part with me.
9 Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
10 Jesus said to him, He that is washed need not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and you are clean, but not all.

So the fact is, did peter denied Jesus to save himself or he betrayed Jesus or he denied the man because to fulfill the prophecy/commandment.

So it is obvious that something wrong with the appeared Jesus who was taken to the court of Roman roller.

Matthew 26:70, 72, 74, 75

70 But he(peter) denied before them all, saying, I know not what you sayest. (Answered First Inquiry)
72 And again he(peter) denied with an oath, I do not know the man(Jesus).(Answered Second Inquiry)
74 Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I(Peter) know not the man(Jesus). And immediately the cock crew.
75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, you shall deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

Islamic Tradition from Sahih Haddith

Narrated Zayd Ibd Khalid (RA): The Prophet Muhammad (SA) said: Do not cure the cock, for it awakens for prayer.- Sunan Abi Dawud 5101

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported the Prophet Muhammad (SA) as saying: When you here the cocks crowing, ask Allah for some of His grace, for they have seen an angel;… Sunan Abi Dawud 5102

Second Evidence: So there should have a specific reason about the denial of Jesus. And we have to know, If peter deny Jesus so who is this person likely to Jesus, Who was that person peter denied? To find out these answers let read the first two verses of the Chapter 26 (MATTHEW). It is very obvious that all the commandment of Jesus and his foretold are truth is because those were from the god. Jesus confidently recommended to his followers that all creation could pass away but his word will not pass away. We see this recommended in Chapter 24 .

Matthew CHAPTER 24
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
And Chapter 26 Jesus telling to his disciples about the person who will be crucified after two days. He foretold to his twelve disciples that one of them will be betrayed Jesus, And he will be crucified, So all of them fallen in sorrow and presented their own self to Jesus as a guilty.
CHAPTER 26 :1-2
1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples,
2 You know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

[If the son of man is Jesus, so who was the father of Jesus? Jesus was not a Son of Man]

Matthew 10:4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

Mark 22:31 ¶ And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
So it should be noted that the person he who will be crucified will be a son of man. There is no chance to claim that Jesus as a son of Man; either he can be called as a son of Virgin Marry or Sprit of God. Any arguments can’t fulfill this claim that Jesus was a son of Man; however the crucified person will be one who betrayed Jesus. So who is that son of Man? If “The Son Of Man” is about Jesus, So Who was the father of Jesus, Who was that man?
Chapter 26
20 Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.
21 And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
22 And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?
23 And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.
25 Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, you hast said.
And The One of his twelve disciples who betrayed Jesus was “Judas”
47 ¶ And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
48 Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.

Judas betrayed Jesus, and he inform to roman soldiers the place where Jesus performed last supper with his twelve disciples. And he (Judas) came with a number of soldiers to arrest Jesus in the daybreak. So what happened to Jesus?  In Chapter 26:38-44 we see, that night Jesus passed in very deeply prayer to the lord and in total three times he came back to his disciples from prayer and found them in sleep and an angel appeared before him & strengthened him.
Chapter 26
39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as you will.
40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and said unto Peter, What, could you not watch with me one hour?
42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, you  will be done.
43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.
44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

SAINT JOHN
’s Account Chapter 16:10, 15-18 Jesus has a conversation with disciples that are telling

SAINT JOHN Chapter 16:10, 15-18
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and you see me no more.
15 All things that the Father has are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
16 A little while, and you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and you shall see me, because I go to the Father.
17 Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he said unto us, A little while, and you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and you shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
18 They said therefore, What is this that he said, A little while? we cannot tell what he said.
Jesus was asked by his disciples about this prophecy that (A little while, and you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and you shall see me, because I go to the Father). What about A little while Jesus talked about? …..his disciples cannot tell what Jesus said. Jesus answered very clearly in SAINT JOHN’s Chapter 16: 28
  Chapter 16: 28
28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
Even Saint Luke’s Account are describing more clearly about the Angels appear before Jesus.
SAINT LUKE CHAPTER 22 :41-44
41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed
43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
It is very obvious that the Angels took away Jesus to the Heaven and after a while Judas (the betrayed one came with a number of roman soldiers and immediately he turned likely to Jesus) And Peter denied him three times, and Jewish Priest &  roman roller crucified him. In Saint Luke’s Account Chapter 22: 66-67 we have found it’s evidence that when the soldier take away him in the court of roman, they asked him (JUDAS/JESUS) about the son of God and he replied that “you will not believe”
Saint Luke Chapter 22: 66-67
66 And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying,
67 Art you the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:

“Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem.” He said to His disciples, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered up to the death. And they will deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to whip and to crucify Him” (Matthew 17:22-23)

It also should be noted from the verse (MATTHEW 17:22-23) & to point out the context of the crucified man. Here, Jesus is telling that “THE SON OF MAN” and also Jesus referring as a third person to mention the person who will be crucified. “And they will deliver “him” (the son of man) ….and they will crucify “him”. The point of discussion is that Jesus has no chance to be a son of man, when either he is a son of Virgin or  the son of GOD or the servant of GOD. It is highly noticeable that the person who will be crucified is a SON OF MAN (JESUS is very save from being a son of man) and even the contextual description was to mention a third person not Jesus him self. Jesus did not told that :And they will deliver me…..and they will crucify me”

Third Evidence: In the Saint Matthew’s account Chapter 26:29 Jesus promised on the table of last supper with his twelve disciples that he(Jesus) will not drink henceforth until that day when He(jesus) drink it new with his disciples in the kingdom of God.

Chapter 26:29
29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.

Mark 22:18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.

But unfortunately we see the person who was taken to crucify drank from given Vinegar. So the question is obvious, Why he drank vinegar and why Jesus promised that he will not drink until he join to the kingdom of God? Chapter 27:34 stated that he drank from vinegar.
Matthew CHAPTER 27
34 ¶ They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.
35 And they crucified him..And even after the crucifixion, in the ninth hour he was offered to drink from Vinegar and he drank

48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

SAINT JOHN CHAPTER 19
30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar(Drink), he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Fourth Evidence: It is well known to the Christian specially the Catholic Church that Jesus himself accepted the cross for the payment of the sinners of the world. But the crucified person tells us very different issues that is not supporting this claim. In the third hour the person who crucified cried loudly two times and pronounced to God that “why hast thou forsaken me?” So how can Jesus claim god for  his crucifixion when it is known that he (Jesus) willingly accepted Cross as a payment of sin?

Chapter 26:46 & 50
46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
50 ¶ Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost

SAINT MARK CHAPTER 15
35 And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias(GOD).
36 And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him(Jesus) to drink, saying, Let alone; let us(Soldiers) see whether Elias(GOD) will come to take him down.

SAINT LUKE CHAPTER 23
36
And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him(Jesus), and offering him vinegar,

SAINT JOHN CHAPTER 19
30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar(Drink), he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Fifth Evidence: There were two thieves crucified with Jesus. The literal descriptions of these event were stated exactly same that there were two thieves who were crucified with Jesus. The historian did not use the word “Two Thieves Were Crucified beside Him”. Why they used with him? Was Jesus accused of Stealing? They could use the word beside him. However we have considered this that two thieves were crucified with Jesus. But if we look at the law of Jewish or Roman law against the penalty of Stealing we find that there was not death penalty for stealing. However we have found two thieves were crucified with him.

Saint Matthew Chapter 26 :38
38 Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left
Saint Mark Chapter CHAPTER 15
27 And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.
Saint John CHAPTER 19
7 The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.

Comparative Analysis(First Evidence) :

Mathew 26 Mark 14 Luke 22 John 13
Jesus Prediction 34 Jesus said to him, “Truly I say to you that this very night, before a cock crows, you shall deny Me three times.” 35 Peter *said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You.” All the disciples said the same thing too. 30 And Jesus *said to him, “Truly I say to you, that you yourself this very night, before a cock crows twice, shall three times deny Me.” 34 And He said, “I say to you, Peter, the cock will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me.” 38 Jesus *answered, “Will you lay down your life for Me? Truly, truly, I say to you, a cock shall not crow, until you deny Me three times.
A Servant-Girl Inquired (First) 69 Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard, and a certain servant-girl came to him and said, “You too were with Jesus the Galilean.” 66 And as Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant-girls of the high priest *came, 67 and seeing Peter warming himself, she looked at him, and *said, “You, too, were with Jesus the Nazarene.” 55 And after they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter was sitting among them. 56 And a certain servant-girl, seeing him as he sat in the firelight, and looking intently at him, said, “This man was with Him too.” 18:25a Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him, “You are not also one of His disciples, are you?”
Peter Denied Jesus 70 But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what you are talking about.” 68 But he denied it, saying, “I neither know nor understand what you are talking about.” And he went out onto the porch. 57 But he denied it, saying, “Woman, I do not know Him.” 25 b He denied it, and said, “I am not.”
Another Servant Girl Inquired  (SECOND) 71 And when he had gone out to the gateway, another servant-girl saw him and *said to those who were there, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.” 69 And the maid saw him, and began once more to say to the bystanders, “This is one of them!” 58a And a little later, another saw him and said, “You are one of them too!” But Peter said, “Man, I am not!” 26 One of the slaves of the high priest, being a relative of the one whose ear Peter cut off, *said, “Did I not see you in the garden with Him?”
Peter Denied (Second) 72 And again he denied it with an oath, “I do not know the man.” 70a But again he was denying it. 58b But Peter said, “Man, I am not!”
A Man (Who Stand By The Way) Inquired (Third) 73 And a little later the bystanders came up and said to Peter, “Surely you too are one of them; for the way you talk gives you away.” 70b And after a little while the bystanders were again saying to Peter, “Surely you are one of them, for you are a Galilean too.” 59 And after about an hour had passed, another man began to insist, saying, “Certainly this man also was with Him, for he is a Galilean too.”
Peter Denied Jesus 74 Then he began to curse and swear, “I do not know the man!” 71 But he began to curse and swear, “I do not know this man you are talking about!” 60a But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are talking about.”
Cock Crowed 74 And immediately a cock crowed. 72a And immediately a cock crowed a second time. 60b And immediately, while he was still speaking, a cock crowed 27 Peter therefore denied it again; and immediately a cock crowed.
The Fulfillment of Prophecy 75 And Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said, “Before a cock crows, you will deny Me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly. 72b And Peter remembered how Jesus had made the remark to him, “Before a cock crows twice, you will deny Me three times.” And he began to weep. 61 And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had told him, “Before a cock crows today, you will deny Me three times.” 62 And he went out and wept bitterly.
Comments:  It is not a historical error that before the event when Jesus was attempted to be crucified, Jesus foretold to his disciples that to deny him, even the moment to deny Jesus. That was before the the “crock crew” peter will deny (ME)Jesus not the inquiry. It is very easy to understand that if even I(JESUS) stand before peter he is supported to deny Jesus.

Was Jesus  A Son Of Man or Son Of God. If Jesus was a son of man who was that man?

On Cross the son of man cried out loudly and claimed God for his death Chapter 26:46 & 50 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?50 ¶ Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost Chapter 15:34And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. Chapter23:46¶ And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.  Chapter 19:30When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Comments If Jesus choose his death for the sake of our sin, so why he would cried out for his death and why he asked  to God that God forsake him? This son of man is not JESUS, and God never forsake Holy Jesus.

All Of These Questions Answer Is : Q: 4:157-158 And because of their saying (in boast), ‘We killed Messiah ‘Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allâh,’ – but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of ‘Isa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. And Allâh is Ever AllPowerful, AllWise. )
